Emergency assistance center deploys Cordys Business Operations Platform (BOP) to optimize business operations

The largest assistance center in the Netherlands, SOS International, has chosen Cordys, the leading provider of software for business process innovation, to optimize business operations. The Cordys Business Operations Platform (BOP) enables SOS International to design, implement, monitor and continuously optimize business processes and activities, within one single environment.

SOS International processes around 300,000 calls for assistance per year for a number of banks, insurance and leasing companies. To process all assistance calls as efficiently as possible, SOS International chose to create an integrated process encompassing all SOS operational and personnel departments. In doing so, SOS international aims to realize the complete integration of the entire chain, allowing the level of customer service to be further optimized. The Cordys platform increases the speed at which changes can be implemented and helps SOS International maintain a grip on the progress of the business’s core processes.

The Cordys Business Operations Platform has been configured via models in order to support three core processes: recording incoming reports, directing requests for assistance and making financial settlements. In addition, the various process steps, such as carrying out policy checks or selecting the correct healthcare provider or salvager, are now extensively automated and regulated by the Cordys platform.

SOS International is also extensively leveraging the Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) component embedded within the Cordys platform, to maintain tight control and real-time monitoring of critical activities. The various process steps and workflows the company is measuring include the processing time per activity and the time between assignment and departure. This will allow SOS International to deploy its staff and resources more efficiently. Cordys BOP further ensures that the information exchange with external parties is completely automated, including electronic invoicing.
