Cordys helps Safetran to improve business visibility and achieve higher levels of customer satisfaction
Cordys, Inc., today announced that Safetran Systems, the worldwide leader in rail crossing technology and warning systems, has implemented the Cordys platform at the core of it's IT infrastructure.
Safetran, which maintains a nationwide network of manufacturing, sales and maintenance divisions, implemented Cordys to enhance its existing IT infrastructure and enable several of its IT systems to adapt more readily to business-driven change.
"The Cordys platform has improved overall visibility in key areas of our business, providing complete traceability throughout our product structure - from assembly right through to customer installation. The net effect is increased business efficiency and improved customer satisfaction," said Brian Weiss, Safetran's Manager of Quality.
Cordys enables Safetran to extend the functionality of existing applications to support the implementation of full serial number traceability across the entire product structure. The new system means that Safetran can more effectively assign and manage the serialization of components in its supply chain, from electronics and castings, through to railroad crossing protection and signal controls.
"By connecting existing applications to an ESB within a completely service oriented environment, Cordys can dramatically reduce the complexity and cost of integration projects, while providing a solid foundation on which new event- and process-driven composite applications can be easily developed and deployed," said Justin Anderson, President of Cordys, Americas.
