Putten, Groningen, 19 March 2007 - Cordys, leading provider of Business Process Management Suite (BPMS) solutions, has signed a license agreement with Informatie Beheer Groep (IB-Groep). The IB-Groep will use Cordys to be able to respond quicker to new government issued rules and regulations and changes in the IT environment.  System Integrator Ordina is the partner who has implemented the Cordys-platform at the IB-Groep.

The IB-Groep is an independent administrative organization in the Public Sector, which is responsible for the execution of several acts and regulations such as student grants and information management. These acts are commissioned by the Ministryof Education, Culture and Science and by the Ministry of VROM.

The Cordys platform will be the basis for the new application environment of the IB-Groep. By applying the Cordys software, the IB-Groep creates a more flexible IT environment and will be able to react quicker to changing laws and regulations.

The IB-Groep and implementation partner Ordina, are currently implementing and testing the Cordys Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and BPMS functionality.

Bert Jan Geveke, manager of the internal IB-Groep Softwarehouse, states that the mere volume of connections between different systems make any adjustments to these systems very time consuming.

“The IB-groep has to deal with continuous changes in laws and regulations” according to Michiel Oldenhof, Vice-President Sales Cordys. “In order to anticipate quick changes, IT environments need to be flexible to adopt these. Cordys helps the IB-Groep in enabling new functionality to integrate with the existing applications which stimulates reuse.. Changes can be quickly implemented and realized at minimal costs.”
