Platform enables quick communication with internal and external customers

Ewals Cargo Care, a European logistic service provider, will deploy the Cordys platform to make its transport planning available to its various international offices. The application is to support all of Ewals' international activities (Move, Store and Manage) across fourteen European countries in due time. Ewals selected the Cordys platform because it allows for quick realisation of new functionality and can seamlessly integrate the existing administrative applications. Ewals' transport planners will have full insight into the available transport resources as well as the demand from various countries. In this way they will be able to serve their customers in a quicker, more reliable and cost-effective way. Ewals' IT partner Ordina will take care of the implementation of the platform.

As a result of the open nature of the Cordys platform, systems and components within Ewals' environment can be made available to customers. This will greatly improve their provision of information and services. Furthermore, the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), an important component of the Cordys platform, offers support for opening up Ewals' current application environment to new, advanced applications.

The Cordys platform also supports the set-up of a Services-Oriented Architecture (SOA). This means Ewals can benefit from powerful modelling features and better align its processes with customer- and country-specific demands and requirements. Customer specific application development will no longer play a limiting role.
