Develop a deep understanding of assigned products and use appropriate methods, tools and applications to prepare context of use analysis, task analysis and design documents. Conducts design reviews and lab tests for Cordys products.

The qualified candidate will be reporting to Development Manager and working closely with members from Documentation, Testing & Development teams.

Responsibilities:

• Create flowcharts, schematic drawings and rough blueprints to illustrate interface structure and interaction schemes
• Create paper and electronic prototypes for testing
• Develop usability test plans, conduct tests and document test reports
• Analyze product, gather data and user feedback through methodologies like task analysis, heuristic evaluations, interface audit and cognitive walk-through
• Create comparative analysis reports and usage scenarios for product features
• Collaborate with product managers, product architects, developers, graphic designers and documentation engineers to incorporate customers feedback and best practices in Cordys applications
• Explore next generation user-interaction paradigms

Knowledge Required:

• Understanding of user experience and interaction design principles
• Conversant with current Web Standards, Rich Internet Applications, Web-based collaborative application environments
• Proficiency in task analysis, usability evaluation and usability testing
• Familiarity with CSS, XML and Ajax.
• Working knowledge of (X)HTML, JS and prototyping tools (Visio/CorelDraw/Illustrator/Photoshop)

• Ability to communicate effectively with members of the creative and technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Experience:

2+ years of usability experience in a product development environment, with a proven track record of developing best in class Products for web-based application environment.

Qualification:

Candidate must have a degree in design from IDC (IIT Mumbai/Delhi) or NID (Ahmedabad)
