Engineer - Testing & Automation
The
Testing and Automation Engineer will be reporting to the Development
Manager/ SCRUM master/Project Lead/Test Lead to design
and implement a test automation framework for creating and executing automated
regression tests using tools like Junit/CPPUnit. The
qualified candidate will be responsible for contributing to test infrastructure
and to the quality of the component owned.
Responsibilities:
- Identify
& design new test cases on a continuous basis and program them
- Contribute
to the development of the test infrastructure
- Need to
have knowledge on configuration tools
- Test
developer will check the “Coding standards” and be involved in peer
reviews
- Sign
off on the quality of the component owned
- Participation
in Review and Inspection of various High level designs
- Preparation
for the execution of the tests incl. Test scripts/Business
processes/System set up etc.
- Test
data set up before execution of the
tests
- Execution
of the tests that have been planned in line with the relevant processes
that have been defined
- Taking initiatives to continuously improve
knowledge of products and processes directly responsible for
- Follow
the basic processes defined relevant for the work domain
- Understand
assigned products and keep abreast of changes to assigned products so that
their Testing is accurate and comprehensive
- Submit
weekly status reports on time and accurately
- Adhere
to schedules, processes, and standards for Testing
- Product
support and training
Required Skills:
Industry Standards;
- SOAP & Web services standards
Test;
- Testing process, Black box / white box testing
experience
- Automation Tools : Junit,
CPPUnit preferred
Technical;
- Programming Languages* - Java, C, HTML, Java Script
- Technologies* – XML & Web services
- Application Servers –IIS , Apache
- RDBMS* – SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL
& Open LDAP server
- Tools – Eclipse, SVN
* Mandatory requirements, Rest
are desirable / preferred
Experience:
Candidates should have 2 or
more years of experience with min of 1 year development experience and is
willing to write code to break products.
Qualification:
BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc/M.Tech from a reputed university.
