Engineer - Performance Testing

Looking for talented and experienced Performance Engineer responsible for analysis, performance benchmarking and developing test scripts. The qualified candidate will have the ability of analyzing high-level performance bottle necks across Web Applications and also be capable of demonstrating self motivation, good communication, strong analytical and debugging skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing performance test scripts
  • Conducting/executing performance tests
  • With the guidance of Senior Performance Engineer, Performance Engineer should do the following
    • Performance benchmarking
    • Developing hardware sizing guides 
    • Analyzing high-level performance bottlenecks
    • Performance tuning of applications, database servers, web servers..etc

Required Skills:

  • Should be self motivative and good team player
  • Should have good communication, analytical and debugging skills
  • Should have thorough knowledge in database, network (Internet and Intranet) and operating system concepts
  • Should have knowledge of database servers MS SQL Server and/or Oracle
  • Should have knowledge of web servers Apache and/or IIS
  • Familiarity with ERP and EAI development environments will be added advantage
  • Should be familiar with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Thorough knowledge of XML, SOAP, HTTP, Web services and other Internet technologies
  • Should be familiar with fundamentals of algebra and statistics

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software industry. The experience should comprise of following attributes
  • At least 2 years of experience in software development using Java, C, C++, VB, VC++, Java script, HTML, HTTP, XML, SOAP
  • At least 1 year of experience in performance testing (load testing), CPU profiling, memory profiling, thread profiling and network profiling
  • Development experience in Internet based application is added advantage
  • Should have reasonable knowledge and experience in using monitoring, profiling and performance analysis tools
  • Familiarity with CORDYS is an added advantage.

Qualification:

BE / B-Tech / M-Tech / ME / MCA / MS / M.Sc or equivalent
