De Amersfoortse deploys Cordys to Optimize Efficiency and Responsiveness of existing Business Processes
Cordys makes the process of managing pension schemes over six times more efficient, while improving ability to respond to legislative change
Cordys today announced that De Amersfoortse Verzekeringen , leading Dutch income insurer and part of international financial group Fortis ASR , has implemented the Cordys 4.2 platform to modernize and improve the agility of its business processes.
De Amersfoortse Verzekeringen is a leading provider of disability income insurance, health insurance and pension plans in the Netherlands and will be using Cordys to better manage the complexity of its integrated product offering and process chains. The Cordys 4.2 platform will be used to improve both Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Activity Monitoring (BAM), as well as provide the flexibility and agility the organization needs to effectively manage its response to new legislative change.
The implementation of the Cordys platform has already seen the required processing time for a new participant in a pension scheme reduced from a thirteen minute process involving 70 – 80 data input screens, to a two minute process involving a single intuitive Cordys interface. De Amersfoortse will now be using the platform to manage the complex process of changing the status of thousands of pension policies to ensure compliance with the latest financial legislation in the Netherlands .

The Cordys platform will enable the implementation of a new system of internal benchmarking, taking advantage of the comprehensive BAM features that form part of Cordys Business Collaboration Platform and enabling De Amersfoortse to better monitor business activity across the various divisions. The company also plans to leverage Cordys technology to better manage third party organizations, such as employers, by integrating business processes with Web Services and Portals using open standards. The company has a number of other projects in the pipeline that will see the creation of composite applications that combine existing and new functionality to improve various business processes.
