Collaboration for developing new IT applications

Equens (Interpay) opts for Cordys platform and Cordys further enhances its platform with the Interpay Mosaic concept

Interpay Nederland has opted for the Cordys platform to develop its new IT applications. The two parties have signed an agreement to this effect. The choice for Cordys fits within Interpay's aim to develop quickly into a European player to be reckoned with. This implies ongoing service improvement along with reductions in costs per transaction.

As part of this collaboration, Cordys has enhanced its Business Collaboration Platform with the Mosaic concept as developed within Interpay. This concept makes it possible to develop extremely scalable and reliable applications that run on a distributed commodity hardware platform. Now that it is enhanced with Interpay's Mosaic concept, the Cordys platform has also been made highly suitable for markets in which large volumes are processed with very high reliability.

Interpay is aiming to develop into a payment processor for banks, not only in the Netherlands but in all of Europe. Interpay's IT department develops and supervises 60 to 80 automation projects per year to support the organization and to improve the quality of its service to customers. The organization will use the Cordys software platform to develop IT applications in order to improve the integration of its current systems, to generate higher quality management information, for work flow management, etc.

Johan Been, Executive Vice President Operations, Interpay:
"The Cordys Business Collaboration Platform gives Interpay the opportunity to revamp and organize its infrastructure in line with international and open standards. Interpay will thus be in an even better position to adapt its products and services to market demand and to become a prominent and competitive institute for processing payment transactions on the European market.
With Interpay's pivotal role within Dutch payment traffic, it must safeguard the quality of its service at all times. The Cordys platform enables Interpay to integrate processes and applications without having to change those already in place. Furthermore, Interpay has found a soul mate in that Cordys is also aspiring to become a leading company on the international market. Cordys and Interpay are confident they can boost each other in this ambition."

Henk de Ruiter, Executive Vice President, Cordys: "With our solutions, Interpay can significantly improve collaboration between and flexibility of its systems and processes, enabling Interpay to focus more on its objectives for becoming a top player in Europe.

Our software will enable Interpay to add new systems to its current systems, and even develop and add business processes without having to turn to adaptations or premature write offs. So we provide Interpay with the possibility of getting the most out of previous investments in applications." Furthermore, by collaborating with Interpay and by making the Mosaic concept an integral part of its existing platform, Cordys can expand substantially on the market for high-volume transaction processing," says De Ruiter.
