Independent Research Firm Recognizes Cordys in SWOT Analysis Of Specialized Business Process Platform Vendors
Putten, The Netherlands, January 06, 2011 – Cordys, a leading provider of software for business process innovation, today announced that Forrester Research Inc., a leading independent technology and market research company, has published a report entitled “Challenging The Middleware Megavendors”, September 20, 2010, naming Cordys one of the middleware megavendor challengers.
In the report, Forrester states that Cordys is “one of the companies that is big enough to offer a full stack or portfolio of middleware components that add up to a business process platform, including integration and business process management capabilities.”
The report highlights Cordys integrated and open platform, noting that, "Cordys developed a comprehensive yet still compact and technically consistent business process platform. A lot of lessons learned from the former Baan enterprise resource planning (ERP) system went into this next-generation platform."
The report continues: "What differentiates it the most from integration-centric vendors like Software AG’s webMethods is its capability to provide a container for net new application logic. So, you not only integrate existing business applications and weave them into an overarching business process, you can actually create net new full business applications from scratch. In this respect, the Cordys platform could be a powerful selection for ISVs who want to write their next-generation packaged business application."
