Bouwfonds selects Cordys as partner for compliance project
Connectivity layer to support basis for integrated transport and information sharing platform
Bouwfonds, an international property company, has entered into a strategic partnership with Cordys for the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide connectivity layer. This connectivity layer is a strategic choice on which new projects will be built upon in the future. The first project will provide an integrated solution to increase security and compliance and provide an infrastructure to support the financial consolidation, Basel II and Economic Capital reporting. It will provide the company with one single infrastructure allowing flexible modeling and orchestration of business processes of which the first one will be consolidated reporting of financial and risk data
The Cordys solution also enables Bouwfonds to respond more quickly to market changes and to optimize its business processes through the use of one platform. Cordys’ Composite Application Framework will replace a number of Bouwfonds’ current tools and will enable new functionality. Bouwfonds chose the Cordys solution after an elaborate selection process. Cordys was chosen because of its ability to provide an integrated platform instead of a number of separate solutions supporting only part of the business processes.
“Through this strategic partnership with Cordys we can optimize service delivery to all business units,” says Koenraad Bruins, Director Corporate IT at Bouwfonds. “Cordys was able to offer a platform that not only fulfilled the technical requirements but also the business requirements for financial and risk reporting. With this flexible solution we can fully support our IT and business processes, now and in the future. In addition, Cordys provides us with knowledge and means to setup the competence centre within the IT organization.”
“Our platform enables a reliable and flexible implementation of business processes”, says Frits Felix, Vice President Cordys Europe. “It provides Bouwfonds with an integrated solid solution for increased compliance and security for data transport and process modeling of financial and risk data.
